What is on the GED Exam?
The GED® test is made up of 4 subjects, broken into separate exams. You don’t have to take all 4 tests at once – you can space them out however it suits you and go at your own pace. Here is an overview of what is on the GED, by subject area.

Testing Overview
The GED (General Educational Development) is a test that allows individuals who have not graduated from high school to obtain an equivalency diploma. The test is widely accepted by colleges and universities throughout the United States as an alternative to a high school diploma. The GED® has been developed by GED® Testing Service, a program of the American Council on Education.
How to Register
If you are a Florida resident, you are eligible to take the GED® test if you meet certain requirements. These requirements may differ in other states.
To be eligible, you must be 18 years of age or older. If you are a younger adult, you may be granted an age waiver.
You can call the Florida GED® Hotline at 1-877-352-4331 (in FL) or (850) 488-6622 (outside FL) to find out more about this waiver.
Additionally, you must not be currently enrolled in an accredited high school and must not have already received a high school equivalency diploma.

Testing Dates
When you're ready to take the GED® test, you can schedule it online at an official GED® test center or take it through online proctoring. Online proctoring allows you to take the test from the comfort of your own home or another secure location, with a proctor monitoring you through a camera and microphone. Note that not all states offer online proctoring, so be sure to check if it's available in your area.
Timing
The GED exam is administered only on a computer at an official testing center and is 7½-hours long.
Scoring
In order to be eligible for a high school equivalency credential, test-takers must score at least 150 on each of the four content modules (Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies). The score for each module ranges from 100 to 200, with 150 being the passing score. It's important to note that the score required to pass is the same for all test-takers, regardless of where they take the exam.
The GED® with Honors is a certification that indicates readiness for career and college. To receive the GED® with Honors, test-takers must score 170 or higher on each of the four content areas of the exam. The score range for each module is still from 100 to 200, with 170 being the minimum score required for this certification.
