How Is the MCAT Scored?

Total Score:
The MCAT total score ranges from 472 to 528, with the midpoint at 500. It is the sum of your scores across the four sections.

Section Scores:
Each of the four sections is scored individually, ranging from 118 to 132:

Equated Scoring:
The MCAT uses equated scoring, meaning your score reflects the number of questions answered correctly, adjusted for the difficulty of the exam form you took. This ensures that scores are comparable across different test administrations.

Percentile Ranks:
In addition to raw scores, the AAMC provides percentile ranks to indicate how your score compares to other test-takers.
