Why FAU High School Might Be The School For Your Child

Writer: Sapneil ParikhSapneil Parikh

Florida Atlantic University High School is an incredibly successful program established by FAU. Students can enroll in high school through FAU in Boca Raton or Jupiter. While enrolled, students take regular high school classes, as well as college courses. This allows students to complete an average of 90 credits towards their degree before graduating. Some even strive so far as to get their bachelor’s degrees and begin graduate programs. the program is very rigorous, but anybody can attend and succeed. FAU High School is commended for its ability to nurture these students to their fullest potential. They accomplish this by providing a level of freedom and flexibility to teachers that is incomparable to the average high school. Without the binds of over-restrictive curriculums and lesson plans, instructors are able to tailor the learning experience to each student’s needs. Additionally, their focus on STEAM related studies gives students a more hands-on experience with learning. All of these aspects helped FAU High School to maintain an “A” rating as a public school since its inception in 2004, as well as a 100% graduation rate for five years running.

FAU High School is almost totally free for students, besides an annual activities fee and other minor costs associated with any high school. Which means you’re saving thousands of dollars in college tuition. With the exception of complying with state mandates for minority enrollment, FAU High School has absolutely no restrictions on who can apply to the program. As long as your child shows academic promise, a hunger to learn, and an interest in higher education they can be accepted. Follow these 4 simple steps if you want your child to experience the level of dedication and care provided by FAU High School:

1. Their first step will be completing the SAT, ACT, or both the AccuPlacer & WritePlacer. It is important to prepare your child for these exams before they take them. There are plenty of great resources online and on paper, which can be incredibly effective, especially when paired with tutoring. While the SAT & ACT take some time for students to get their scores, the AccuPlacer & WritePlacer exams can be taken in-person at FAU, where your child will instantly receive their scores. You can find more information on the AccuPlacer here: https://www.fau.edu/testing/all-tests/accuplacer/

2. Step two is to gather all of the documents required for the application. First, find your child’s current and previous year’s report cards or academic transcripts. Then, you’ll want to get their official test scores on the AccuPlacer & WritePlacer, ACT, or SAT scores. Next, you’ll need their school-based standardized test scores. Finally, you and your child must create a list of any extra-curriculars, awards, research interests, and disciplinary infractions. Additionally, your child will be required to write a resume and a personal statement. They will also need recommendation letters from two core subject teachers and a principal or school counselor.

3. Now that you’ve gotten everything ready, submit their application online at the FAU High School admissions page online. Applications for the 2025-26 school year open on September 1st. Student acceptance is quite competitive. So, make sure your child has applied by November 15th to get in the Early Applicant Round. After which point the Regular Applicant Round will be open until January 15th.

4. Finally, if your child is selected, they will be required to perform an admissions interview.

If you want your student to find success in life and in academia, do not wait to take this opportunity. Here at Sapneil Tutoring, we are on the forefront of test preparation for exams of this nature. Our founder, Dr. Sapneil Parikh, has dedicated over 20 years to post-secondary education. During this time, he founded Sapneil Tutoring, revolutionized the tutoring process, and endowed his employees with the skill necessary to teach success. That is to say, that we do not just teach students the content on a test, but we teach them how to learn. The Sapneil difference involves a more holistic approach to the learning program. This means that we take a look at your child’s exact needs before you pay, with free diagnostic testing. This process allows us to see not only their specific areas of difficulty, but also their learning style as a whole. Then, we create a personalized comprehensive report based on your child’s performance. Finally, we tutor each student individually in 1-on-1 sessions, with the same tutor each time. This allows us to tailor the learning experience to every individual student to maximize their potential success.
